Richard D. Chatwin

Richard D. Chatwin is an associate at the law firm of Gerrard Cox Larsen where he concentrates primarily on elder law, veterans benefits, guardianships, estate planning, probate, and asset protection. Mr. Chatwin has lectured extensively on such topics as Medicaid planning and eligibility, multi-generational planning, estate planning for business owners and probate avoidance techniques.

Mr. Chatwin holds a Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Philosophy from Brigham Young University.

While in law school, Mr. Chatwin served as a member of the Nevada Law Journal and worked as a legal extern for the civil division of the United States Attorneys Office. He also received a merit tuition scholarship, served as president of the Las Vegas student chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, and earned two C.A.L.I. awards while there.

Mr. Chatwin is licensed to practice in Nevada and is a member of the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council.
